I just love this scene. Not to sound like a sadist. It was disturbing to watch Azula writhe around because she has finally snapped, and her world was simply shattering and she can’t do anything about it anymore; but I absolutely love how the animators captured her expressions. And for some reason, I think Grey DeLisle’s ability to project Azula’s rage and anguish in her wails is… sort of outstanding, really.
… It was just a really powerful and sad moment, idk.
This is my little sister’s least favorite episode simply because she is so disturbed by Azula. And personally I love it because Azula had been built up as such a cruel and powerful person that I was wondering how they were going to be able to realistically take her down and this was just such a beautifully believable and deep way to do it.
